Internet Writing for Teens

Get writing this summer in your style and on your schedule, with Internet Writing for Teens. Develop your writing skills while writing on subjects you enjoy, and kiss essays and research papers goodbye for the summer. Donít just surf the web this summer, dive in!

This new Write Well course includes:

  • Personalized instructions on how to write Internet articles for websites, blogs as well as for print publications.
  • Your choice to specialize in one type of writing or to explore up to 8 types of writing opportunities prevalent on the web:
    • Opinion-based articles to share your thoughts in effective ways.
    • Persuasive articles for debates, position papers and call to action agendas.
    • Experience-based articles for sharing your adventures and challenges.
    • Information-based articles, using solid research skills.
    • Instructional articles, with how-to tips.
    • Reviews for movies, books, computer games, music, fashions, etc.
    • Newspaper articles.
    • Magazine articles

Bonus: Students can publish their articles directly on http://www.helium.com, where I work as Community Manager and provide writer support. Their published articles will also earn money, and position them to take part in contests and other earning incentives.

Details:

  • Time commitment: Open-ended! Work intensively for a few weeks, spread out the writing over a steady 8 weeks, or write intermittently all summer.
