Apprentice Level II
- What? This course provides a gentle introduction to writing the five-paragraph thesis essay, while building critical thinking and some research skills. Students select a biographical character of their choice and follow the directed assignments, which build the essay from the inside out. Such essential skills as writing topic/concluding sentences, introductions with thesis statements, and conclusions for the infrastructure of the course. Students also learn how to eliminate passive voice verb constructions and to use commas properly.
- Where? On-line classes are available on on-going basis. Past in-house classes have been offered in Acton, Concord, and Newton, MA. - When? Register for on-line classes at any time.
- Why? To give your child the practice and the tools for developing into a capable and independent formal writer. The techniques employed yield high results, and quickly!
